Villa Vanowen Welcomes First Residents Home

Century is proud to announce the opening of Villa Vanowen in Van Nuys. Developed by Century Affordable Development, Inc. (CADI), the new community provides 64 apartments for people moving out of homelessness, along with on-site support to help residents build stable, independent lives.

A recent move-in day brought meaningful moments as residents received their keys and stepped into apartments of their own—some for the first time in years. One man spoke with excitement about finally having a private shower and later sang verses of gratitude.

Villa Vanowen reflects strong collaboration. The People Concern is providing case management and resident services, while The John Stewart Company is overseeing property management to ensure a safe, well-run community. Together, these efforts offer residents not just housing, but a foundation for the future.

The opening of Villa Vanowen marks another milestone in Century’s mission to expand access to affordable housing across California. Each home is more than four walls—it represents a new beginning for each resident.
