Executive Leadership Changes at Century Villages
Today we are writing to share important news regarding Century Villages at Cabrillo’s leadership.
After 20 years of dedicated service to Century Housing, including 10 years as executive director of the Villages, Steve Colman has announced his retirement. Steve’s vision, passion, and collaborative spirit have been instrumental in shaping the Villages into the transformative community it is today. We wish Steve all the best as he begins this well-deserved next chapter.
“Century salutes Steve who exemplifies our values and has served as a wonderful leader, colleague, and role model,” said Brian D’Andrea, Senior Vice President of Housing at Century Housing, an affiliate of CVC. “He has guided the Villages during a time of growth and upheaval, especially during the past three years, and leaves the Villages in a strong position for continued success.”
We are excited to announce the appointment of Kimberly Wee as the next executive director of Century Villages at Cabrillo (CVC), effective Monday, August 21. Kimberly has worked alongside Steve at CVC and has been at the Villages since 2000 (including her time at a partner agency). She currently serves as vice president of residential services for Century, managing a team of case managers and clinical staff who support residents at the Villages and other Century-owned properties. Kimberly will concurrently hold this role as she assumes her new position.
“We are thrilled to name Kimberly as CVC’s next executive director,” said Ronald M. Griffith, President and CEO of Century Housing. “With more than 20 years of experience at the Villages, she has an incredible foundation to guide the Villages into the future.”
“I can think of no better person to step into the role of executive director than Kimberly Wee,” said Steve. “Her passion, vision, and tenacity will ensure Century Villages at Cabrillo will continue to be the crown jewel of permanent supportive housing and collaborative services in Long Beach.”
Please join us in welcoming Kimberly as our new executive director and celebrating Steve’s incredible journey with the Villages. We look forward to embarking on this new chapter with our supporters, partners, and friends. Thank you for being there with us every step as we create positive change for our residents and community members.
