Welcoming New Board Member: Anita Nelson
Century Housing is proud to welcome Anita Nelson, Chief Executive Officer of SRO Housing Corporation, to our board of directors.
With more than 35 years of experience across the nonprofit and private sectors, Ms. Nelson brings deep expertise in affordable housing development, operations, and fiscal management. Since 2003, she has led SRO Housing Corporation—an established provider of permanent, affordable housing and supportive services in Los Angeles—through major growth and transformation.
“There’s nothing more rewarding than witnessing the transformation process when someone receives the keys to their own home,” Ms. Nelson shared. “It’s a wonderful feeling that never gets old.”
Her leadership journey includes previous roles at Saban Community Clinic and Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Southern California. Ms. Nelson currently serves on the boards of the Skid Row Development Corporation and previously served on the board of the Southern California Association of Non-Profit Housing (SCANPH). She has also been a Senior Fellow with UCLA’s Luskin School of Public Affairs and USC’s Brittingham Social Enterprise Lab. She holds a B.S. in finance and business economics from the University of Southern California and an MBA in business management from Pepperdine University.
We are honored to welcome Ms. Nelson to Century’s board as we continue advancing our mission to finance, build, and operate high-quality affordable housing across California. Learn more at Century Housing’s board of directors page.
